The Standard Promotes Jeremy Horner to Vice President of Individual Disability Insurance and Corporate Development

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Jeremy Horner has been promoted to vice president of Individual Disability Insurance and Corporate Development.

In his new role, Horner is responsible for investor relations, as well as mergers and acquisitions, while retaining his responsibilities for the company’s Individual Disability Insurance business. Horner will also become a member of The Standard’s management committee.

“Jeremy is a proven leader with a depth of knowledge and experience executing strategic and cross-divisional corporate initiatives,” said Dan McMillan, president and CEO of The Standard. “I’m delighted for him to be an important part of our long-term growth strategy.”

Horner joined The Standard in 2009 and has held various leadership roles in Corporate Accounting, Investor Relations and the Business Transformation Office. He has led the Individual Disability Insurance business since 2018.

Prior to joining The Standard, Horner worked in audit practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Portland, Oregon.

Horner is a certified public accountant and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.

Horner serves on the board of directors for the Oregon Zoo Foundation.
