Pipedrive Appoints Seasoned Tech Executive Tom Burnet to Board of Directors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pipedrive, the easy and effective sales CRM for small businesses, today announced the appointment of a seasoned tech executive, Tom Burnet, to its Board of Directors. Bringing a wealth of experience from guiding various companies through their growth and transformation stages, Burnet’s appointment marks an important step forward for Pipedrive's global expansion efforts and growth ambitions.

Burnet has an extensive background in providing counsel as Non-Executive Chairman to some of today’s leading technology and financial companies. In addition to his responsibilities at Pipedrive, Burnet is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Kainos Group plc, a FTSE250 IT Services business; Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust plc, a FTSE250 investment trust that invests in listed and unlisted US growth companies; Aker Systems, a company specializing in secure data infrastructure; Trading Apps, a provider of software services to global capital markets. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director for the Columbia Threadneedle Private Equity Trust which invests in a diverse spread of private equity investments. In his last executive role, Burnet was CEO and then Executive Chairman of Accesso Technology Group plc, a leading supplier of technology solutions to the Leisure industry with over 1,000 venues served and operations in 30+ countries.

Burnet’s role at Pipedrive was sourced through the external board program operated by Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm focused on enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses and a majority investor in Pipedrive. Launched in 2017, the board program leverages Vista’s ecosystem and additional resources to identify, train, and appoint qualified board candidates for its portfolio companies. The program works to create a diverse pipeline of qualified board candidates through programs and partnerships that advance diversity for all boards and drive impact for the corporate world at large.
