Cenlar Recognized by Fannie Mae as a STAR Performer in Solutions Delivery

WASHINGTON & EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cenlar FSB was recognized by Fannie Mae as a STAR Performer in the Solutions Delivery category. The award is part of Fannie Mae’s Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards™ (STAR™) Program, which recognized 32 mortgage servicers for their competency, capacity, and overall performance.

For more than a decade, Fannie Mae's STAR Program has honored high-performing mortgage servicers for their loan volume and portfolio composition, and for demonstrating leading practices to improve the housing industry.

Honorees in the Solutions Delivery category were chosen based on their ability to resolve delinquent loans and their effectiveness at managing their collections call center. In addition, organizations were evaluated based on Fannie Mae’s Servicer Capability Framework (SCF), which evaluates individual servicer capabilities across standard dimensions of people, processes, and technology.

"Our servicing partners' success is essential to achieving Fannie Mae's goal of preserving homeownership and maintaining the safety and soundness of our business," said Cyndi Danko, Senior Vice President and Single-Family Chief Credit Officer, Fannie Mae. "We're proud to recognize our top-performing STAR Program servicers and their commitment to ensuring operational excellence, reducing credit loss, and continuously improving the overall homebuyer experience."

2023 marks the fifth time Cenlar was honored as a STAR Performer. Cenlar has long been recognized in the mortgage industry as a leader for its technological and operational innovations, maintaining the highest standards of risk management and compliance, and providing the highest level of service and integrity for homeowners.

“Our dedication to client satisfaction, effective management, and expert operations has continued to earn us the position of industry-leading subservicer, year after year,” said Investor Relations Officer and Senior Vice President, Client Management Tom Donatacci. “As a bank-regulated subservicer, we are held to a higher standard of safety and soundness, and we’re proud our robust compliance and regulatory management program is second to none.”

Since 2011, Fannie Mae's STAR Program has enabled broad and lasting improvements across the mortgage servicing industry by promoting servicing knowledge and excellence. The program continues to gain positive momentum and has seen sustained servicer improvement in both metric performance and operational assessment results year over year.
