GEICO Announces Tangela Richter as Chief Legal Officer

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GEICO announced Tangela Richter has joined the company as its new Chief Legal Officer, reporting to Chairman, President & CEO Todd Combs. Richter will oversee all of GEICO's legal functions as well as government and regulatory affairs.

Richter joins GEICO from Wells Fargo, where she most recently served as executive vice president, deputy general counsel, and secretary. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she held several leadership roles at companies such as American Express, Lending Club, and Capital One.

Richter earned her bachelor’s from Howard University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
