Dairy Queen Declares First Day of Spring “Treat Szn” With Free Cone Day on March 19

Fans Can Enjoy a Free Small Vanilla Cone for One Day Only at Participating DQ Locations Nationwide

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunny days are around the corner and American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) is ready to make the season a little sweeter. On March 19, the first day of spring, participating DQ® restaurants nationwide will host Free Cone Day.

The iconic DQ springtime tradition is a fan favorite. On Free Cone Day, fans can receive one free small vanilla soft-serve cone* featuring the classic curl on top (limit one per fan, while supplies last). Free Cone Day also signifies the return of “Treat Szn,” the time of year when the sun sticks around longer, flowers begin to bloom and the only things that should be cold are sweet treats that come in a cone or cup.

“Nothing says warmer weather is around the corner quite like Free Cone Day. We’re inviting fans everywhere to grab their friends and families and get their ‘Treat Szn’ started with something sweet – on us!” said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president, marketing at ADQ.

Fans can visit DairyQueen.com or download the DQ mobile app to find a local DQ restaurant on March 19. Fans can also share their Treat Szn celebrations by connecting on social media using @DairyQueen and #HappyTastesGood.

*Free small vanilla cone at participating US non-mall locations, and at participating mall locations with purchase. All day, limit one per person. While supplies last. Not valid on delivery or mobile orders.
