Capital Markets Partner Megan Penick Joins Dorsey in New York City

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Megan Penick has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Capital Markets group in New York City, the international law firm announced today.

Megan is a seasoned corporate, securities, and capital markets lawyer as well as a business and corporate governance consultant. Megan brings 20 years of experience to her practice and is sought after for her work guiding private companies through the process of going public. A niche area of Megan’s practice includes working with entrepreneurs, start-ups, small-cap, and mid-sized ventures — both China-based and domestic — as outside general counsel, assisting these clients in all aspects of their corporate legal development. Megan is also known for helping public companies meet their SEC filing and disclosure requirements. In addition, she represents issuers and underwriters in the sale of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

Megan joins Dorsey from Michelman & Robinson, LLP, where she was a Partner and the firm’s Public Securities Chair.

“Megan brings to Dorsey tremendous experience in corporate and securities law matters,” noted Bill Stoeri, Managing Partner of Dorsey & Whitney. “Dorsey’s Capital Markets team is recognized nationally for its outstanding work, and the addition of Megan reinforces the depth of our experience in this arena.”

“I’m thrilled to join Dorsey’s robust international platform, especially for its U.S.-China practice,” said Megan Penick. “The firm’s impressive footprint and depth in all areas of capital markets will be an enormous benefit to my clients.”
