Grant Thornton named one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2024

The firm secures a spot on Glassdoor’s 16th annual Top 100 list

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grant Thornton LLP, one of America’s largest providers of audit and assurance, tax and advisory services, has been recognized by Glassdoor as one of the Best Places to Work in 2024. The firm is part of a select group of organizations honored by Glassdoor’s 16th annual Employees’ Choice Awards.

To choose their honorees, Glassdoor surveyed both current and former employees who voluntarily provided anonymous feedback over the past year. Grant Thornton was ranked 86 out of 100 businesses, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to fostering a positive and engaging work environment.

Further, Grant Thornton’s employees ranked the firm with a rating of 4.3 out of five, with 74% stating they would recommend the firm to a friend. Notably, “Career Opportunities” emerged as the firm’s top-rated workplace attribute, earning a ranking of 4.1 out of five.

“This achievement serves as a testament to the collective dedication of our people, united by a shared passion for excellence that extends not only to our clients but to each other,” said Jeanna Shapiro, Grant Thornton’s chief people officer. “This recognition fuels our ongoing commitment to shaping a workplace known for inclusivity, innovation, professional growth and success.”

This announcement comes on the heels of several other accolades that underscore Grant Thornton’s commitment to its people. The firm was recently named one of the 2023 ‘100 Best Companies’ by Seramount for the 18th year in a row. Grant Thornton also earned two awards at the annual Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards: its digital badging program and Career Compass skills framework were recognized with a gold award. Further, the firm’s Manager Development program received a silver award. In addition, Grant Thornton was named to the 2023 “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” list by Disability Equality Index®.

“Work life is rapidly changing, and professionals are turning to Glassdoor to share their experiences about working for some of the most competitive employers in the world,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor CEO. “The Best Places to Work award is a stark reminder of the power of Glassdoor, from arming professionals with career insights and real-time conversations about all things work and life, to providing employers with feedback to improve. Glassdoor has evolved to make sure that transparency isn’t a fad, but rather, a foundational component in the future of work.”

Employees’ Choice Award winners for the Best Places to Work 2024 were determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary awards algorithm, and each employer’s rating is determined based on the quantity, quality and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews submitted by U.S.-based employees between October 18, 2022 and October 16, 2023.
