Scrum Alliance® Appoints Søren Filbert as First Board Chair From Outside the U.S., Signaling Its Growing International Reach as It Advances Strategic Growth Plan

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The board of directors of Scrum Alliance, Inc., which provides agile training and education to professionals around the world, is proud to announce accomplished business entrepreneur and corporate leader Søren Filbert as its new chair, the first time the position will be filled by an executive based outside of the U.S.

Filbert, a current Scrum Alliance Board Member based in Denmark, sees his expanded role as chair as an opportunity to further the nonprofit’s goal to attract new members and offer more training, education, products, and enterprise agile solutions.

“This is an exciting time to serve as chair, as Scrum Alliance CEO Tristan Boutros, and the entire organization are making significant progress on plans to ensure professionals have the right skills and tools to build better products and solve complex problems that meet the demands of today’s rapidly changing workplaces. Filbert also notes that during his time as a CEO in the textile, fashion, tech, and workforce sectors he hired many scrum masters and product owners and has seen how an agile way of working and developing products and services is successful.

Scrum Alliance’s certification process has awarded over 1.4 million certificates to date and enables professionals from the entry to executive level with career-advancing agile tools. Scrum Alliance trainers and coaches are active agile experts in teaching the agile mindset and scrum framework and to date the organization has offered over 115,000 courses to professionals around the world.
