Knightscope Growth in Healthcare and Higher Education Continues

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Knightscope, Inc. [Nasdaq: KSCP] (“Knightscope” or the “Company”), a leading developer of autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems, today announces two new sales, one in healthcare and the other in higher education. These sales represent 4 additional emergency communication devices and related services in two rapidly growing market segments.

A private university in California is adding 2 K1 Blue Light Towers with a full service maintenance program to its existing emergency phone system, expanding access to critical services across a total of 15 devices on campus. Knightscope's K1 Blue Light Towers and Blue Light Emergency Phones provide a very noticeable and recognizable fixed location to access dependable communications away from buildings, when a cellphone battery dies, or there is simply no service available. They are fully wireless and don't require digging or trenching when installed. At the push of a button, a student, guest or teacher may call security for immediate assistance in the event of an emergency.

Paramount Security Partners, a Knightscope Authorized Partner (“KAP”), sold 2 solar-powered K1 Blue Light E-Phones to a well-known teaching hospital and biomedical research facility located in New Jersey. The hospital is one of the largest healthcare providers in the region with over 1.2 million outpatient visits annually and over 7,000 employees. Following Knightscope’s recommendations for securing medical facilities, clients have been deploying the Company’s technologies to keep healthcare workers and patients safe and to prevent minor issues from becoming major issues.
