Publix Register Campaign Supports American Red Cross Disaster Relief Efforts in Tennessee

Publix Super Markets Charities also donates $100,000

LAKELAND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Publix is activating a register donation campaign in the company’s Tennessee stores allowing customers and associates to support relief efforts following the tornadoes and intense thunderstorms that swept through the area on Saturday.

In addition, Publix Super Markets Charities (PSMC) is donating $100,000 to support relief efforts.

The contributions from the register campaign and PSMC will be used to support nonprofit organizations, including the American Red Cross and United Way, enabling them to respond to and help people recover from disasters.

“Our thoughts are with the people impacted by the recent tornadoes and storms in Tennessee,” said Publix Director of Community Relations Dwaine Stevens. “We’re grateful for the donation from PSMC and our associates and customers who support our communities in times of need.”
