AM Best to Join Title Insurance Market Discussion at NAIC’s Fall Meeting

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate in a task force meeting on the U.S. title insurance industry at the upcoming National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (NAIC) Fall Meeting. The conference is scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec. 2, 2023, in Orlando, FL.

Kourtnie Beckwith, senior financial analyst, AM Best will speak during the Title Insurance Task Force meeting about AM Best’s outlook on the U.S. title insurance market segment, which was revised to negative in early 2023 due to a number of factors that included an expected slowdown in home sales and related economic activity. Beckwith has more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry and is responsible for the analysis and credit ratings of U.S. title organizations, captive insurers and monoline cyber insurance companies. The session is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The NAIC holds three national meetings a year, and are attended by state regulators and their staff, NAIC employees and insurance industry representatives. Various committees, task forces and working groups address model laws, guidelines and other issues during each event.
