BJ’s Wholesale Club Surprises Madison Teachers by Funding Arts and Music Programs at Local Schools with $15,000 Donation

BJ’s Charitable Foundation fulfills wish list for seven elementary schools

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. & MADISON, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ), a leading operator of membership warehouse clubs celebrated the anticipated opening of its first club in Alabama with a surprise for Madison teachers and students.

The BJ’s Charitable Foundation announced a $15,000 donation at Midtown Elementary School. The Foundation is providing funds for newly expanded music and arts programs at all seven Madison City elementary schools.

In collaboration with DonorsChoose, BJ’s Charitable Foundation has funded over 700 classroom projects within nearly 600 schools, supporting over 675 teachers nationally. To date, BJ’s has already funded 29 classroom projects in 13 North Alabama schools.

The first-ever BJ’s Wholesale Club in the state of Alabama, located at 165 Graphics Drive in Madison, is set to open tomorrow, Friday, November 10.
