The National Thoroughbred League Hosting the Inaugural Socal Championship Cup

Debut Championship Hosted at The Los Alamitos Race Course Featuring Exhilarating Horse Racing And Exciting Experiences Including Concert From Musician Tyler Rich

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Thoroughbred League (NTL) proudly presents the inaugural SoCal Championship Cup, a premier horse racing event, on November 11, 2023, at the renowned Los Alamitos Race Course.

The day will feature festivities for all ages with exciting experiences on and off the track. Highlights include an exhilarating NTL thoroughbred race, an exclusive concert by the acclaimed Tyler Rich, curated culinary offerings, a fashion show, and music by DJ Jesse Bacardi.

The event kicks off at 4:30 pm PST, culminating with the NTL race at 6:00 pm PST to crown the inaugural SoCal Championship titleholder. Attendees include horse racing enthusiasts, celebrities, and new audiences to this iconic American sport. NTL is also honored to host esteemed members of the Los Alamitos community including, first responders and military veterans.

The SoCal Championship is part of the National Thoroughbred League’s inaugural season, debuting at the Kentucky Downs racecourse in September 2023. The NTL is reimagining America’s oldest spectator sport by establishing a team-centric professional league in horse racing. NTL President Tom Ludt, shared, “Our first year far exceeded expectations. A lot of people who have never been to a horse race before experienced the thrill of horse racing.”

Hosting the SoCal event are the home team, The California Shamrocks whose team owners include NTL co-founder Robert Daugherty; musician Cornell Haynes Jr. (also known as “Nelly”); sports veteran Alan Kidd, actor Ben Reed, and Moira Forbes of Forbes Media.
