Fiber Broadband Association’s Regional Fiber Connect Workshops to Reach New U.S. Cities in 2024

Association brings critical broadband content to five new cities in 2024

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Fiber Broadband Association today announced the five cities it has selected to host Regional Fiber Connect Workshops in 2024. The regional events will be held in Richmond, Va., on February 8th; Little Rock, Ark., on April 16th; Deer Valley, Utah, on June 4th; Des Moines, Iowa, on September 10th; and Albuquerque, N.M., on November 7th. By selecting new cities for its Regional Fiber Connect series each year, the Fiber Broadband Association is making its invaluable workshop content accessible to more regions, communities, state broadband offices, operators, utilities, and cooperatives looking to build reliable, high-performance fiber broadband networks.

Each Regional Fiber Connect Workshop features the broadband industry’s top experts and local leaders that explore best practices to fund, design, deploy, and deliver fiber broadband services across North America. Each event offers content and resources on local broadband assessment, policy and political support, marketing strategies, and lessons learned from network operators delivering fiber broadband services in similar communities.

“The success of our 2023 Regional Fiber Connect event series demonstrated how crucial our workshops are to local broadband stakeholders,” said Evann Freeman, EPB Vice President of Government & Community Relations and FBA Conference Committee Chair. “As states finalize their proposals to utilize the $42.45 billion BEAD program funding to expand high-quality internet access, we look forward to collaborating with state leaders and service providers in five new cities in 2024. Our workshops will provide them with the resources needed to access the immense benefits of fiber broadband.”

The Fiber Broadband Association will also host its annual Fiber Connect event, the world’s largest fiber broadband event, in Nashville, Tenn., from July 27-31, 2024.
