Insight PA Cyber Charter School COO Honored with Legacy Award for School Leadership

Beth Jones recognized for decades of dedication to charter schools by PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools

EXTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Insight PA Cyber Charter School is excited to announce that Chief Operating Officer Beth Jones is a recipient of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools’ (PCPCS) prestigious 2023 Legacy School Leader Award. The Legacy Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their significant and enduring contributions to the field of public charter education in Pennsylvania.

“Beth has long been a champion for public-school choice and both brick-and-mortar charter schools and cyber charter schools,” said Eileen Cannistraci, CEO at Insight PA Cyber Charter School. “She has been involved in the Pennsylvania movement since 1998, helping to shape conversations surrounding charter schools. A visionary school leader, Jones is being recognized for her remarkable leadership and commitment to providing quality education within the charter school community. Her innovative approaches have created transformative educational experiences for students.

For more than 30 years, Jones has worked tirelessly to serve those seeking education, serving as a teacher of toddlers and adults, a community college instructor, a charter school founder and COO, a CFO at Insight PA, and now as Insight PA’s inaugural COO. Jones holds a B.A. from Immaculata University, a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Widener University, and an M.B.A. from West Chester University. She is Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) certified by HRCI. Beth served as the President of the Board of the PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools and is a long-time champion of public-school choice in PA. She is married to a public-school educator and has two adult sons – both charter school graduates.

Jones and the other 10 recipients will be honored at the 2023 PCPCS Annual Conference held October 3-5 at the Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center in Lancaster.
