Genius Sports is the 2023 American Gambling Awards Data Service Provider of the Year

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Gambling Awards is pleased to announce Genius Sports (NYSE: GENI) is the 2023 “Data Service Provider of the Year.” The American Gambling Awards are produced by Gambling.com Group Limited (Nasdaq: GAMB) (“Gambling.com Group” or the “Group”), a leading provider of player acquisition services for the regulated global online gambling industry.

Data from Genius Sports powers over 97% of the regulated North American sportsbook market. Genius Sports is the exclusive and official data partner for the NFL and is a trusted partner to over 400 sports organizations, including many of the world’s largest leagues and federations as well as the NCAA and NASCAR in the U.S.

During the judging period, Genius Sports extended its exclusive partnership with the NFL through the end of the 2027 season. Genius Sports will continue to distribute the league’s official play-by-play data to media and sports betting operators and a low-latency live game video feed that is used for live in-game betting at sportsbooks. In addition, Genius Sports has just launched the first of its kind NFL “Betvision” product with Caesars Sportsbook, Fanatics and BetRivers which will enable sportsbook customers to place bets within its live video player for the first time.

Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer of Gambling.com Group, said, “Genius Sports has been a leader in the sports betting space around the world for many years. Like so many success stories in the sector, it is great to see another company with British and European roots transfer that success to the U.S. market. With their expanding partnerships in the U.S., Genius Sports is very deserving of the Data Service Provider of the Year award.”

Mark Locke, Chief Executive Officer of Genius Sports, said, “Genius Sports is honored to be named the Data Service Provider of the Year and receive the highly coveted Golden Eagle trophy from Gambling.com and the American Gambling Awards. This award is testament to the exceptional products and services we offer to our customers and validates the groundbreaking work we have done this past year with the launch of Betvision.”
