The Honorable Paul J. Baisley, Jr. (Ret.) Joins NAM’s Esteemed Panel of Neutrals

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) is proud to announce the addition of the Honorable Paul J. Baisley, Jr. (Ret.) to its award-winning roster of neutrals.

Justice Baisley has had a long and distinguished legal career that includes substantial experience as both a judge and a litigator. As a Justice of the New York Supreme Court, Suffolk County for 25 years, Justice Baisley has presided over and settled more than a thousand cases, giving him a broad range of experience and knowledge across numerous case types including commercial, employment, insurance, labor law, matrimonial, medical malpractice, negligence, personal injury, premises liability, and real property.

Justice Baisley was elected to the Supreme Court, 10th Judicial District, Suffolk County, in 1997. His time on the bench includes 17 years as the Supervising Judge of the Civil Trial courts in Suffolk County, while he simultaneously served as the Presiding Judge in the Trial Assignment Part (TAP). Prior to his service on the bench, Justice Baisley served as Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County and then as a Deputy Bureau Chief in the Suffolk County Attorney's office. He was also engaged in a successful general litigation practice.

Justice Baisley is known and respected for his legal acumen and his ability to resolve conflict in an unbiased manner. His experience on the bench and his time spent in private practice settling cases serve as a strong foundation for his role as an arbitrator and a mediator with NAM.
