Along with Mark Goldman and Scott Bolick, Javier’s unique perspective and expertise will further enhance the firm's strategic investment capabilities and create value across the portfolio. He is a principled leader that has over three decades of broad experience as an investor, board member, founder, operating executive, and former policymaker.

Javier recently served as Audit Committee Chair of the Board of SoftBank Vision Fund Investment Corp. (NASDAQ:SVFA), Lead Independent Director of Porch Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRCH), Member of the Boards of Advisors of DocuSign, Inc. (NASDAQ:DOCU) and Univision Communications, and Member of the Boards of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy and Pan American Development Foundation. Earlier in his career, he held leadership, operational and investing roles at McKinsey & Company, Booz Allen & Hamilton (NYSE:BAH), Bridgewater Associates (a hedge fund with $160 billion in assets), Paradigm Ventures, Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), and Air America, a media company he co-founded. He also held a position of public trust as Associate Administrator, Chief of Investment and Innovation of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) leading programs that have invested $120 billion in over 300,000 high growth companies and cutting-edge technologies. In addition, Javier concurrently served on the Committee for Small & Emerging Companies of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), subsequently served on the Presidential Transition at the Department of Treasury, and currently serves on the Advisory Committee on Trade Policy & Negotiations at the White House.
