IDFA Celebrates 25 Years of the CDFA Designation with Lifetime Achievement Awards to be Presented at the 2023 National Conference

The premier event in the field of Divorce Financial Planning, the IDFA National Conference will be held in Dallas, Texas, September 18-20.

DURHAM, N.C.--()--The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA), the leading learning platform for Certified Divorce Financial Analysts (CDFA), is recognizing 25 years of the CDFA designation as part of its much-anticipated National Conference, being held this September 18-20 in Dallas, Texas.

With a legacy dating back to 2000, the IDFA National Conference consistently provides invaluable insights, guidance, and networking opportunities for CDFA and other financial advisors nationwide. As part of this year’s event, the IDFA will present two inaugural Lifetime Achievement Awards to distinguished CDFA professionals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and made significant contributions to the industry.

The conference itself brings together the brightest minds and most impactful speakers in the field of divorce financial planning to deliver inspiring keynotes, skill-building workshops and thought-provoking panels. Conference attendees are eligible to receive 12 CDFA and 11 CFP continuing education credits for participation in the event.

“Our Board of Advisors has worked hard to make sure our programming will have something to offer everyone, whether this is your first or tenth year as a CDFA,” explained IDFA President Carol Lee Roberts. “I think our lineup of speakers and topics is exceptional."

Some of this year’s notable presenters are Nancy Hetrick, a nationally recognized CDFA professional; Timothy Voit, Founder of the American Association of Certified QDRO Professionals (AACQP); and Susan Bradley, acclaimed for her work with the Financial Transitionist Institute and Sudden Money Institute.

Conference alum Sarah Wodarksi of Venture Visionary Partners echoed Roberts’ sentiments about the quality of content and speakers the event offers: “I’m so thankful that the IDFA community is growing and the presenters can share their experiences for others to learn. All around great content.”

The conference has also received an outpouring of support from a prominent group of sponsors, including:

  • Platinum sponsors AACQP and Divorce Financial Planner Training Center
  • Silver sponsor Movement Mortgage
  • Bronze sponsors Split FYI, Second Saturday, Family Law Software, CLTC, Divorce Lending Association, Janney, Beacon Hill, ISBA, and Purse Strings

Roberts added, "Our sponsors make it possible for us to offer a content-filled event at such reasonable prices. I’m looking forward to seeing our members and our sponsors back in person this year!"

There are still spots available for this year’s event, which is open to any CDFA or financial professional interested in learning more about helping clients navigate the divorce experience. To view the full agenda and register, click here.
