At Corvias, Health and Wellness Programs Support Best Place to Work

Wellness@Corvias Returns, Anticipating Another Year of Success

WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Supporting employees inside and outside of work is core to being the best place to work. The Corvias Wellness@Corvias program encourages team members to make their health a priority, starting with annual primary care provider (PCP) visits, which earns every participating employee a medical premium credit, a gift card and a chance to win a health-related prize, such as a stationary bicycle or healthy meal preparation kits.

“At Corvias, we believe in doing the right thing, which includes taking care of our team members,” said Chris Wilson, chief executive officer for Corvias. “As we take care of residents and partners, we must also take care of each other. We hope all team members will participate in our wellness offerings, which also include support for financial health, resources for personal concerns and more.”

The program is administered by Corvias in partnership with Wellworks. It includes annual well visits and biometric screenings that help prevent disease by identifying risk factors and coordinating and managing chronic disease care for a better quality of life.

Wellness@Corvias motivates team members and spouses who are enrolled in the company-sponsored medical plan to see their PCP by rewarding them with a medical premium credit for the 2023-2024 plan year, a $25 gift card, wellness PTO day, and a chance to win one of five wellness prizes, including the leading indoor stationary bike.

As a result of the 2022-2023 program, one in every five eligible employees participated. Five of those employees were chosen at random to receive a wellness prize; four of the winners chose the indoor bike, while another team member selected a 12-month meal kit delivery service.

“I would like to thank Corvias for always looking for ways for us to stay healthy. All I had to do was something we should all do each year—get an annual physical,” said Melissa Richards, one of the employee winners and an assistant resident manager for Corvias Property Management at Fort Meade. Richards’ advice to other employees is, “Make sure to take advantage of this opportunity next year.”

Another winner, Andrea Ruffin, said, “It is wonderful we had the opportunity to win such great gifts that can contribute to our wellness. I recently restarted my wellness journey, and my new indoor bike is sure to help me get to my goal! Thank you again for this awesome gift and opportunity!” Ruffin is a leasing consultant at Fort Sill, another Corvias Property Management site for military housing.
