Empire Wind and National Supplier Diversity Institute to Host Sports and Education Clinics for Brentwood Youngsters

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Empire Wind and the National Supplier Diversity Institute will host a day long sports and education program for Brentwood third to ninth graders at the La Espiguita Soccer Club located at 1795 Brentwood Road in Brentwood. Media are invited at 1:15PM on Tuesday, July 18th.

The sports programming will focus on basketball, soccer, volleyball, go-kart racing, tennis, e-sports, and karate. In addition to the sports programs the youngsters will also be able to take part in an educational component focusing on clean energy education. They will work with miniature wind turbines, learn how to test for heating efficiency, and learn how an electric vehicle works.

This is the first of four scheduled youth programs. The other three will take place:

  • July 20th in Wyandanch with Spin the Yard Foundation at Wyandanch Family Life Center
  • July 27th in Long Beach with Long Beach MLK Center
  • August 3rd in Oceanside with Oil City Athletics
