Sowell Management Fuels Advisor Expansion

New Additions Focus on Helping Financial Advisors Streamline, Grow

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sowell Management, a privately held Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), announced the addition of new organizational roles to continue growth by assisting financial advisors.

Sowell Management’s Founder and CEO Bill Sowell said, “The new positions – director of advisor solutions and training, director of investment management and relationship manager – will help the company stay ahead of the marked growth experienced over the last year.” Sowell Management offers an array of services to Investment Advisory Representatives (IARs) across the country, providing them with the ability to be in business for themselves, not by themselves, Sowell said.

“We’re a company that offers services, but equally important are the people who provide those services. The EOS structure, a business operation tool Sowell utilizes, emphasizes that you cannot achieve a great vision without great people – and we believe that wholeheartedly. The positions that have been created will be a benefit to our current advisors as well as those who join us,” Sowell added.

Sowell’s President Daryl Seaton said, “At Sowell, we are big believers in ‘right person,’ ‘right seat,’ which means we don’t hire anyone – or promote anyone – unless we believe they are the very best fit for the job.”

The company’s new director of advisor solutions and training is Maggie Junior who before being promoted served Sowell’s advisors as an advisor solutions consultant. “Maggie has the background, skills and expertise to shine in her new role. She joined us from TD Ameritrade and has previous experience as a director of operations for a Dallas-based RIA. Maggie and her team are focused on helping advisors streamline their operational efficiencies through training and support.”

Sowell Management’s Chief Revenue Officer Jason Inglis said the addition of the new positions was intentional and needed. Sowell’s new Director of Investment Management Thomas Knight, a six-year veteran of Sowell and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), “is a tremendous resource to Sowell advisors. We needed a high-quality person with a very particular set of skills for this position, and Thomas was a natural first choice,” Inglis said.

“Our organic growth strategies are working well. Since the fourth quarter of 2022, eight new IARs and two new RIAs have partnered with Sowell Management and currently we have another four IARs transitioning their practices to Sowell Management. We are focused on providing opportunities for financial advisors that they won’t find with other RIAs. That’s why they join us,” he added.

Tysha Hartman, who joined Sowell as an advisor solutions consultant more than 2 years ago, after 7 years at TD Ameritrade and Schwab, has been promoted to the new role of relationship manager.

“Ty’s responsibilities will be key in building opportunities and fostering growth for our affiliated advisors. It takes a special person to succeed in the RM role, a real student of the industry who not only understands the needs of advisors but also understands their dreams. Ty is a true business consultant for affiliated advisors,” Inglis said.

Advisors respond positively

The response to the recent organizational changes and the focus on advisor growth has been welcomed by the advisors themselves. Sowell affiliate Curt DiGiacomo, CFP®, CIMA®, CPWA®, managing partner and senior financial advisor at Goal Line Wealth Management in Solana Beach, California, confirmed that people are the reason he chose Sowell.

"I choose to partner with Sowell because of the people. Technology is a commodity. People and culture are not. People make all of the difference in the world. Think about any situation that you are in. Great people and culture will help bring you great joy and pleasure, and the opposite will bring great frustration and worse. We could all use more joy in our lives.

“I believe the Sowell organization is trustworthy, delivers great service and support and fosters an enjoyable partnership with likable people. Sowell has definitely added value to my practice, and I look forward to our continued relationship," DiGiacomo said.

Sowell Management, which has been in business for more than two decades, was profiled by Barron’s in 2020 and Forbes in 2022 as one of America’s Top RIA Firms and currently serves more than 100 IARs and 20 RIAs across the nation with more than $4 billion (AUM/AUA) as of 12/31/2022.*
