Wolters Kluwer’s Steven Meirink wins Twin Cities Business magazine Banking and Finance honor

Minneapolis-based executive recognized for his contributions to digital transformation, business growth

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Twin Cities Business magazine has named Steven Meirink, CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s Financial & Corporate Compliance (FCC) division, as one of its 2023 Notable Leaders in Banking & Finance honorees.

Winners of the honor are based in Minnesota, demonstrating leadership in specific initiatives or programs at their company that has created significant, positive, and measurable results.

Meirink was promoted in February 2023 to lead the FCC division, which includes Wolters Kluwer Compliance Solutions as well as Wolters Kluwer CT Corporation. Compliance Solutions is dedicated to helping financial institutions efficiently manage risk and regulatory compliance obligations; CT Corporation is a leading provider of registered agent services, incorporation services, and legal entity compliance.

While leading Compliance Solutions for the past seven years, Meirink drove substantial revenue growth through organic business development as well as overseeing several major, strategic acquisitions, including the acquisition of eOriginal, a leading digital lending platform, and International Documents Services, noted for its compliant document generation and digital lending capabilities.

He built a global team and significantly accelerated its development of innovative, expert solutions, including the use of advanced technologies that are helping lenders simplify and automate longstanding manual processes. Those digitally-driven solutions are increasingly being adopted across the U.S. banking landscape by lenders and their customers, making processes faster—and more efficient, auditable, profitable and reliable.

“Recognition of this kind points to the ongoing commitment of our larger Wolters Kluwer team, who work diligently with customers to help better understand their needs and design solutions that address those needs, ultimately helping them deliver better value to their customers,” said Meirink. “Winning this award is a testament to our highly collaborative, high-performing team members. On behalf of Wolters Kluwer FCC, I would like to thank the awarding panel, and to all who have contributed to this success.”

Meirink has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services, technology, and data and analytics industries. He has a strong track record of working with his team to penetrate new market opportunities, grow market share with strategic acquisitions, and develop award-winning products.

Wolters Kluwer’s FCC division provides a wide range of technology-enabled lending, regulatory and investment compliance solutions, corporate services, and legal entity compliance solutions. These expert services and solutions help financial services and corporate professionals maintain ongoing compliance requirements, increase efficiency, and produce better business outcomes.
