Aspen Power Names Andrew Blevin as Chief Risk Officer

New Appointment Strengthens Aspen Power's Commitment to Sustainable Energy Solutions

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aspen Power, a distributed generation platform with the mission of accelerating and democratizing decarbonization, announced today that it has named Andrew Blevin as Chief Risk Officer. This addition to the senior leadership team aims to bolster Aspen Power's mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions.

“We are thrilled to add Andrew to Aspen Power’s senior leadership team – his extensive experience will be instrumental in ensuring Aspen Power’s resilience and prudent expansion,” said Jorge Vargas, Chief Executive Officer of Aspen Power. “Under his guidance, we are confident that Aspen Power will continue to innovate and lead the way in sustainable energy solutions.”

With over 30 years of experience in energy project finance, Blevin’s extensive background includes a 17-year tenure as an investment banker at Macquarie Bank, as well as multiple C-level roles in energy and renewable infrastructure finance. Most recently, Blevin recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Safari Energy, which was acquired by Aspen Power in 2022. There, Blevin oversaw the company’s expansion beyond its focus on commercial and industrial (C&I) solar development to include hundreds of megawatts of solar asset acquisition as well. He was also integral in the process of Safari Energy’s sale to Aspen Power, managing the transition and integration of the two companies.

Building on the acquisition, Aspen Power recently announced the successful acquisition of solar project portfolios in Maine and Pennsylvania, as well as the completion of its first multifamily solar project in California. With the goal of reaching gigawatt scale by mid-decade, Aspen Power is committed to advancing the transition to a more sustainable energy future, focusing on developing and funding solar projects for C&I and multifamily real estate as well as community solar projects nationally.
