SAN FRANCISCO--()--Asana, a leading work management platform for organizations, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new General Managers to its leadership team. As the company continues to expand its enterprise offerings and move upmarket, these new hires will bring valuable experience and expertise to Asana's global team.

Joining Asana as GM of Japan is Ike Tateyama, who brings over 20 years of leadership experience in sales and customer success. With a proven track record of inspiring enterprises like Mitsubishi Electronics, Furukawa Electric, Cisco, and DocuSign, Tateyama will be responsible for driving growth and leading Asana's business in Japan. Most recently, he served as the Country Manager of DocuSign Japan, where he built and scaled their enterprise business.

"Asana's commitment to enabling the world's teams to work together effortlessly is something I strongly believe in, and I look forward to leading our growth in this market," said Ike Tateyama. "I am thrilled to be joining the Asana team and to help bring our work management platform to more enterprise companies in Japan."

To support the continued growth and success of Asana in Japan, the local team is relocating to a new office location in the Marunouchi Park Building in the Marunouchi business district. Last year, Asana also announced a new data center in Japan to support its customers and give them greater control over where their data is stored.

Veit Brücker has also joined Asana as GM of DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) region. With over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles at companies including Salesforce, Zuora, Snowflake, Siemens, and Oracle, Brücker will lead Asana's business and drive growth in the region. His proven track record in building high-performing sales teams in the DACH region will continue to enable Asana to reach and serve leading organizations in the region.

"I am excited to join Asana and to help businesses in this region gain efficiencies and expand their digital transformation efforts," comments Veit Brücker on the position. "My role has always been to operate at the intersection of technology, culture, and change of business model, and Asana’s mission to enable the world's teams to work together effortlessly aligns closely with this."

Asana’s presence in the DACH region has increased in the last decade. In 2020, the team established a local data center in Frankfurt for customers. Asana’s roots with customers in the region continues to deepen, in particular with companies in the discrete and process manufacturing space. For example, DACH customer Viessmann has been using Asana since 2015, to aid in their transformation to be a climate-neutral energy solutions provider – reaching over 7,000 users today. Upcoming, Asana will be at OMR in Hamburg on May 10, 2023. Brückewill be interviewing Asana customer Juwelier CHRIST on the Yellow Stage in a session titled, "CHRIST, a jewel of the German mid-market transforms its business model.”

"As Asana continues to grow and expand globally, we are excited to welcome these two talented leaders to our team," said Anne Raimondi, Head of Business and Chief Operating Officer at Asana. "Ike and Veit bring tremendous depth of enterprise experience to our leadership team. Their customer and team-centric approaches will continue to engage executives at world-class companies with our business.
