Liquid Networx’s Sarah Ryba Places 2nd Globally in Fortinet’s Ultimate Fabric Challenge

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Liquid Networx announced today that their network security engineer, Sarah Ryba, finished 2^nd place Globally (1^st in the US) in Fortinet’s Ultimate Fabric Challenge. The competition took place in Orlando, FL on April 3^rd 2023.

Sarah is the defending Gold medalist and won the Ultimate Fabric Challenge (UFC) for the second time last Fall during Fortinet’s XPERTS Summit in Nashville, TN. This regional challenge acted as a qualifier for the culminating Global Championship. The top 10 finishers in the Qualifier rounds were offered a place in the annual Global Ultimate Fabric Challenge competition held at Accelerate 2023, where they competed against 40 of the world’s best for a chance to win prizes based on their placement in the competition.

The UFC is a skills-based competition based on a series of cybersecurity challenges. The purpose of the Fortinet Fabric Challenge is to provide a forum for people who have invested time and effort to become skilled with Fortinet products to demonstrate their expertise to a wide audience. Additionally, the Challenge is designed to support the larger Fortinet mission of closing the cybersecurity skills gap through the promotion of cybersecurity education and best practices.

By competing in, and winning, the Fortinet Ultimate Fabric Challenge, individuals demonstrate their expertise related to Fortinet security solutions to give their customers confidence that they can help protect their organizations against sophisticated cyber threats. To succeed, an individual must use their skills with Fortinet products to solve a series of objectives in 3 hours. They are also tasked with completing various levels related to SD-WAN, incident response, and zero trust, among others.
