WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Moreland University is proud to announce that its innovative TEACH-NOW online educator preparation program has received initial approval by the Florida Department of Education as an Educator Preparation Institute program.
This approval signifies that Moreland University's TEACH-NOW program meets the rigorous standards set forth by the state of Florida for preparing highly qualified educators.
The TEACH-NOW program at Moreland University equips aspiring teachers with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in today's dynamic classrooms. Through a combination of collaborative online coursework, weekly learning time with faculty, and hands-on teaching experiences, the nine-month, 24-graduate credit program helps graduates make a significant impact on the lives of Florida students and beyond.
"We are thrilled and honored to receive this recognition from the Florida Department of Education," said Dr. Susanne H. Thompson, president of Moreland University. "Our TEACH-NOW program has always been focused on providing a high-quality, innovative, and accessible pathway into the teaching profession. This approval validates our commitment to preparing educators who are ready to make a difference in Florida's schools."
The TEACH-NOW program offers graduates the opportunity to apply for a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate upon successful program completion and passing the required Florida Teacher Certification Examinations. This streamlined pathway into the teaching profession addresses the growing demand for qualified educators in Florida, particularly in high-need subject areas and underserved communities.
Moreland University is now accepting applications for the TEACH-NOW program, with classes beginning in April 2023.
