PGIM Quantitative Solutions appoints Andy Wilmot as head of Strategic Relationships

NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PGIM Quantitative Solutions (PGIM Quant), the quantitative, multi-asset and liquid alternatives specialist of PGIM, has appointed Andy Wilmot as head of Strategic Relationships. PGIM is the $1.2 trillion global investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU).

In this newly created role, Wilmot will spearhead the firm’s relationship with its strategic partners and help identify new commercial opportunities across the firm’s product suite. As part of his mandate to broaden the firm’s market positioning, Wilmot will be tasked with capitalizing on PGIM Quant’s annuities expertise and expanding its insurance and subadvisory businesses — both key growth areas for the firm. He will report to Brian Carroll, head of Global Distribution at PGIM Quant.

“At PGIM Quant, we pride ourselves on our agility and ability to solve beyond alpha for our clients in a way that also recognizes new growth areas for the firm,” said Carroll. “We’re thrilled to have Andy on board to help build upon the marketplace awareness of our capability set.”

Wilmot brings decades of financial services experience and a successful record of accomplishments in asset management distribution strategy, leadership and sales across intermediary, institutional and retirement channels. Most recently, he served as head of U.S. Subadvisory and managing director at Allianz Global Investors. Prior, Wilmot held several senior leadership positions at Neuberger Berman and Merrill Lynch.

“PGIM Quant is poised for growth and perfectly positioned to solve for evolving client needs and challenges via its time-tested ‘art and science’ investment approach,” said Wilmot. “I look forward to helping the team build on the shift in demand in the annuities market and identifying additional commercial opportunities for the firm.”
