Roy Rogers Restaurants Announces Grand Opening of New Location in Cleves, Ohio

First of Ten Locations in Greater Cincinnati Opens February 27

CINCINNATI--()--Roy Rogers Restaurants is officially opening the doors of its newest location in Cleves, Ohio on February 27. This opening has been heavily anticipated after the announcement of a 10-unit deal with One Holland Corporation last year. After more than two decades, Roy Rogers’ USDA choice top round roast beef, hand-breaded, fresh fried chicken and great-tasting burgers are back for the Cleves community to enjoy.

Longtime legend and King of the Cowboys, Roy Rogers, was born and raised in Ohio, and even claimed second base in Riverfront Stadium as his birthplace. In 1968, Rogers shared his name with the western-themed QSR restaurant that continued to grow across the Northeast, and has now made its way back to the Midwest.

“Roy Rogers Restaurants is built around the nostalgia and love for Roy Rogers. The history in Cincinnati and excitement from its residents makes Cleves a perfect fit,” shares Jim Plamondon, Co-President of Roy Rogers Franchise Company. “After the brand was acquired from Marriott in 1990, the former Roy’s locations were converted to Hardee’s. Since then, we have revitalized the brand and experienced success as we continue to expand our footprint across the Northeast and East Coast. The return to Cincinnati certainly means a lot to our team at Roy Rogers.”

Doors will open to serve guests at 10:30 a.m. on February 27 and the first 50 guests will receive free Roy Rogers for a year. (A Roy Rogers Combo Meal twice a month for one year.)

Prior to the opening that morning, the community will celebrate with a ribbon cutting event, open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Representatives from the Village of Cleves will attend, including Mayor Stephen Myers, to congratulate Roy Rogers Restaurants and help present scholarships to selected Taylor High School students.

Five students from Taylor High School will be recognized as winners in a Roy Rogers writing contest. Tasked with drafting an essay on what cowboy conduct means to them, the winners will receive a $500 college scholarship and the local Taylor High School band will celebrate with a performance.

“The respect of cowboy culture in Cleves perfectly aligns with our values at Roy Rogers and the way we manage our business,” adds Plamondon. “As a brand, we have prioritized loyalty, quality, family and community over the past 50+ years. Gary Holland and his team share these values as well. We are excited to partner with them for this new location and the additional 9 upcoming locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. We look forward to growing our roots here once again.”
