Grundfos Kicks Off 4th Annual WaterPRO Competition

Champion To Be Awarded $10,000 at National Groundwater Association’s (NGWA) 2023 Groundwater Week Conference and Expo in Las Vegas

BROOKSHIRE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grundfos, a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technologies, today announced the commencement of the 2023 WaterPRO Competition, a series of local qualifying events culminating in the final competition at the National Groundwater Association’s (NGWA) 2023 Groundwater Week Conference and Expo in Las Vegas.

Throughout the year, WaterPRO Competition participants will be tested on their knowledge of Grundfos renewable energy–powered pumps. After more than 20 local qualifying events, the top 10 qualifiers and two walk-ons will compete in December’s championship in Las Vegas. They will receive round-trip airfare to the event, an NGWA Groundwater Week 2023 show pass and two nights’ accommodations for themselves and one guest. The WaterPRO champion will be awarded $10,000, while 2nd and 3rd place will win $3,000 and $1,500, respectively.

“The WaterPRO Competition allows pump installers to show off their expertise and skills needed to install and maintain this vital equipment,” said Patrick Sless, Area Sales Director in Canada and the US for Water Utility at Grundfos. “We encourage Registered WaterPRO dealers to sign up for a local event, compete against your fellow pump installers and see if they make it to the final round in Vegas. We can’t wait to crown a new champion and award $10,000 in December!”
