Aqua Statement in Response to Proposed PFAS Regulation in Pennsylvania

BRYN MAWR, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aqua Pennsylvania released the following statement in response to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection setting a maximum contaminant level for two forever chemical compounds, PFOS and PFOA:

Pennsylvania made progress this week in setting a maximum limit for forever chemicals PFOS (at 14 parts per trillion) and PFOA (at 18 parts per trillion). Aqua Pennsylvania will continue to take action on both chemicals where levels are above 13 parts per trillion — the level we set several years ago to proactively mitigate these chemicals. We are continuing to advance our companywide plan to address these chemicals and look forward to the EPA’s action on this important matter.
