Stephens Hires Mike Preston as Head of New Investment Banking Site & Incentives Advisory

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stephens, an independent financial services firm, today announced the addition of Mike Preston to its Investment Banking division as managing director and head of the firm’s new Site & Incentive Advisory practice (SIA). Based in Little Rock, Mr. Preston brings to the position more than 19 years of economic development experience working with public & private businesses and government entities.

The new Stephens SIA group will advise businesses on their growth strategies by helping them understand the opportunities and challenges with site selection. This will include navigating complex incentive plans and assistance with negotiations in order to produce optimal solutions for their shareholders.

Prior to joining Stephens, Mr. Preston held several positions including Secretary of Commerce for the state of Arkansas, Executive Director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and Vice President of Government Relations with Enterprise Florida, Inc. He also served as Chief of Staff for Senator Steve Oelrich of Florida. Mr. Preston earned his Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Florida in 2005.
