Navy Federal Credit Union Named a Computerworld 2023 Best Place to Work in IT

Navy Federal’s 4th Consecutive Year as a Top 10 Large Company

VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Foundry's Computerworld ranks Navy Federal Credit Union No. 8 among large organizations on the 2023 Best Places to Work in IT list. This award recognizes the top organizations that challenge their IT staffs while providing great benefits and compensation.

“It’s an honor to be named among the top 10 large organizations by Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT again this year,” said Tony Gallardy, chief information officer at Navy Federal. “I’m especially proud of the support our Information Services Department (ISD) has provided in shifting our organization to a hybrid work environment this year. After the majority of our workforce transitioned to work-from-home at the beginning of 2020, ISD and many of our business areas have rallied together to take the next step in our organizational and digital transformation. Our ISD team members worked to ensure that employees had the technology they needed to continue providing exceptional service to our members during this monumental organizational shift.”

Navy Federal’s ISD leadership supports and encourages employees as they adapt through challenging times. ISD prepared the organization for success – not only by the typical innovations they constantly seek, but also by expanding a large workforce to a virtual environment within a narrow timeframe.

“Adapting to a ‘new normal’ has put additional demands on IT organizations at companies of all sizes. This year’s winning companies have stepped up with increased IT staffing and a variety of innovative professional development opportunities. The result of these efforts is that not only are IT staffs engaged and productive, but the entire business benefits from IT’s ability to support evolving workplace models and changing business and customer needs,” said Rob O’Regan, global director, content strategy, Foundry. “Importantly, this year’s award winners are laser-focused on diversity initiatives to expand the IT talent pool and promote workplace diversity and inclusion.”
