Church Mutual® appoints new director to its board

MERRILL, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mike Concannon has been appointed to the Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. (a stock insurer)1 Board of Directors. Concannon will be up for re-election in May 2023.

“I am so excited to be joining Church Mutual’s board of directors,” Concannon said. “My experience in the insurance industry and now working to advise other organizations makes me especially prepared to help lead Church Mutual into the future.”

Concannon is the founder and principal at Wellwood Advisors, LLC. In his role he provides advisory and board service to investors, leaders and entrepreneurs in assessing innovative opportunities, creating strategy and achieving sustainable, profitable growth. He works daily with mergers and acquisitions, early-stage business launches and mature business reinventions.

Prior to forming Wellwood Advisors, Concannon had a track record of driving dramatic business growth and strategic change within The Hartford Financial Services Group and is widely respected among insurance industry peers.

Concannon has previously served on the board of overseers for St John’s University School of Risk Management, the board of directors for LL Global Inc., as a member and chairman for American Council of Life Insurers – Group Insurance Executive Council and on the board of directors for The Connecticut Forum.

He completed the insurance executive development program with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Concannon received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St John’s University in New York and earned his Master of Business Administration from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
