Summit Bank Adds Long-Time Commercial Banker for Central Oregon Office

BEND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gary O’Connell, Market President for Summit Bank (OTC Pink: SBKO), announced today that Zak Sundsten has been hired as Senior Vice President, Business Client Advisor for the Central Oregon office.

“Zak is a phenomenal banker and is well respected in the Central Oregon business community. We believe he will mesh perfectly with the Summit culture and expect him to be an incredible contributor to our lending team moving forward,” says O’Connell.

Sundsten is a Central Oregon native who has made a name for himself throughout the local banking community. He brings over 25 years of Commercial Banking experience to Summit. His previous position was at Idaho First Bank as a Commercial Relationship Manager, where he grew a portfolio from zero to $26MM in approximately 20 months. In addition, he has a wide array of lending knowledge ranging from Commercial Real Estate, Residential, Commercial & Industrial, and Construction and Consumer loans.

He attended Central Oregon Community College and later went to the Western School of Commercial Lending and Commercial Lending School to further his banking education. He is a past board member of the Habitat for Humanity and current board member for the Economic Development of Central Oregon (EDCO).
