Walker Sands Strengthens its PR Leadership Team with Two Key Promotions

Kellie Sink and Hailey Melamut elevate to Vice President of Public Relations with focus on department growth and talent development

Kellie Sink and Hailey Melamut have both been named Vice President of Public Relations, as they work to strengthen the agency’s talent success and people development initiatives while continuing to lead and grow key PR programs.

Since its inception in 2001, Walker Sands has emphasized providing innovative, results-driven work to its clients while also maintaining a strong culture to nurture its talented team of PR professionals. With work recently recognized by the PR Club Bell Ringer and PRSA Skyline Awards, the firm continues to maintain that commitment, even through its growth, with these latest additions to the leadership team.

  • Kellie Sink to Vice President of Public Relations: Since joining Walker Sands in 2015, Sink has contributed to the agency’s rapid growth and expansion of the PR department. During her tenure, Sink played an important role in establishing and building out the agency’s HR tech, edtech and healthcare tech practice areas, while growing a team of 11 talented PR and media relations professionals. As a people-first leader, Sink recently spearheaded a proprietary people manager training series alongside her team of directors to shape the agency’s next generation of leaders. In her new role of Vice President, Sink will continue serving as strategic PR counsel for her clients while co-leading initiatives with Melamut aimed at employee skills acceleration, training and coaching.
  • Hailey Melamut to Vice President of Public Relations: Melamut joined Walker Sands through its acquisition of March Communications in 2021. Prior to that, she spent seven years at March Communications leading PR and communications programs for a portfolio of B2B brands. In her tenure at March and now Walker Sands, Melamut has helped to strengthen the agency’s AI and enterprise software practice areas, while growing high-performing teams that achieve award-winning results on behalf of clients. Melamut also represents the agency as a Board Member for the PR Club of New England. In her new role as Vice President, she will continue to lead PR strategy for clients while partnering with Sink to help spearhead Walker Sands’ talent success and people development programs.
