Socotra Wins Comparably Awards for Leadership and Career Growth

Socotra was selected out of 70,000 companies across the U.S. for the workplace culture awards.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Socotra, the modern core platform provider for innovative insurers and insurtech MGAs, today announced that it has won the 2022 award for Best Leadership Teams and Best Career Growth from workplace culture site, Comparably. Socotra was selected out of 70,000 companies across the U.S.

The Best Leadership Teams Award is based on how employees rate and approve of their leadership, including the CEO, executives, and direct managers. The Best Companies for Career Growth Award is based on how employees feel about their professional development opportunities, including meaningful career advancement, mentorship, challenging work, and how often they receive valuable feedback from their direct managers on how to improve.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Comparably for our workplace culture,” said Dan Woods, founder and CEO, Socotra. “Companies thrive when their employees thrive. At Socotra, we value our employees and the immense contributions they’re making not only for our company, but also the insurance industry at large. We’re excited to continue providing strong leadership and career growth opportunities for our team.”

“The employees have spoken and made it clear that Socotra isn’t just talking the talk, but also walking the walk of its culture and leadership values,” said Comparably CEO Jason Nazar. “The company has thrived through a difficult economic period, proving it can still nurture careers and have strong performance even in the face of global macroeconomic change.”

Comparably Awards are derived from sentiment ratings anonymously provided by employees about their CEOs, leadership, and career growth on Comparably.com during a 12-month period (June 2021-June 2022). This announcement comes on heels of Socotra being listed to CB Insights’ first annual Insurtech 50 for its achievements in delivering technology to improve all aspects of the insurance value chain.

Founded in 2014, Socotra provides the insurance industry’s most open and agile platform for today’s insurance innovators, enabling them to iterate quickly and bring powerful products to market in record time. In the last 18 months alone, Socotra has added 30 new customers, raised $50 million in Series C funding, and acquired Avolanta, the only unified portal connecting insurers, agents, and customers. Socotra is now expanding its platform and ecosystem capabilities with Socotra Marketplace—the insurance industry’s first no-code app marketplace enabling instant integrations with third-party technology providers.
