TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Phoenix Holdings Ltd., a leading Israel-based diversified financials group (TASE: PHOE) (the “Phoenix” or the “Company”), on Sunday published its first group ESG report. The report shares the Phoenix’s approach and activities across environmental, social, economic and corporate governance issues. In drafting the report, the Phoenix mapped six substantive areas for planning and focusing its corporate responsibility efforts: innovation and digitization, ethics and compliance, transparency, employee development, responsible investments, and climate change.
The report covers Phoenix Holdings’ activities in Israel and internationally, meets the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and highlights the group's activities in 2021 in the context of corporate responsibility.
The Phoenix group’s corporate responsibility activities are managed at three levels: the organizational footprint, products and services, and investments. The report reviews and group's activities at each of these levels as part of its multi-year workplan to promote these issues.
Eyal Ben Simon, Phoenix Holdings CEO:
"Corporate responsibility has been a key characteristic of the Phoenix's operations for a long time, and now we are taking this commitment one step further and validating it in a report that reflects our impact in the areas of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance, on behalf of all group stakeholders."
Meni Neeman, Deputy CEO, Group Legal Counsel and Head of ESG:
"Working on the report highlighted activities that have been ongoing across the group for many years. Deciding to manage ESG issues systematically has engaged the entire group in the process of thinking, measuring, and defining a multi-year workplan aimed at creating positive impact on the environment for our stakeholders through our products and investments. We consider issues that are important for the Phoenix's broad stakeholder base, and we believe that these ESG policies will strengthen the group and all of its stakeholders."
