AutoLeadStar ISO 27001 Certification Complies with FTC Safeguards Rule

MIAMI--()--AutoLeadStar, automotive’s first customer data and experience platform (CDXP), today reinforced its commitment to remaining ISO 27001 certified, the leading global standard focused on information security. This comes in the wake of recent updates the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) made to its Safeguards Rule to strengthen the security around consumer financial information.

Once the new FTC rules are in place, automotive dealers will have to report on risk assessment and how they safeguard data. Part of this entails both the security status of their vendors and their dealership security status.

This marks the third year that AutoLeadStar is ISO 27001 certified and reflects its investment in ensuring the organization keeps its customers' data safe. ISO 27001 is the strictest level of security certification available globally related to the collection, use, and disclosure of information. AutoLeadStar is one of the few companies in the automotive sector to hold this prestigious certification.

“The Safeguards Rule will help dealers better protect their customers’ data and personal information. This is essential in today's digital world, where people have become reliant on the internet to engage and transact. At AutoLeadStar, we have always been acutely aware of and sensitive to security around our customers’ data and, most importantly, our customers’ customers,” said Aharon Horwitz, CEO of AutoLeadStar.

Through the ISO 27001 certification process, AutoLeadStar has positioned itself as a vendor partner that prioritizes the security of personal data and delivers on all compliance requirements.

“As a leading automotive technology company, we can think of no better way to help dealers fulfill their obligation to their customers than to maintain the most rigorous set of data security, GDPR, and CCPA protocols possible. AutoLeadStar understands that dealers are community businesses that employ people from their area. But with them requiring digital solutions to remain competitive, it is our mandate to provide dealers with tools to compete with sophistication while having automated solutions customized for their needs and those of their customers. The certification reinforces that and provides our dealer customers and their customers with the peace of mind that their data is protected to the highest international standards,” said Horwitz.
