Prominent Texas Tax Lawyer Joins Alliant Insurance Services

James Chenoweth to lead transactional risk expansion

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alliant Insurance Services announces that James Chenoweth, former Partner of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Baker Botts, has joined the company in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Chenoweth will specialize in providing tax, litigation and M&A risk solutions to private equity firms and corporate clients for their most challenging transactional risks.

Prior to joining Alliant, Chenoweth, along with six others, opened the Houston office of Gibson Dunn, which now has over 50 lawyers and where he served as a tax partner since 2017. Prior to that, Chenoweth was a Partner of Baker Botts in Houston where he began his career as an associate in 2005.
