BBH’s Private Banking Office in Nashville Grows in Tandem With the City

BBH’s Office Grows by Community Outreach, AUM and Staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Private Banking arm of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce significant growth in its Nashville office, including the addition of two new senior professionals to its staff. This comes at a time of notable growth for the region itself and is reflective of BBH’s commitment to Nashville, its private business owners and their families.

Researchers at real estate company Stessa analyzed several employment and housing metrics and ranked Nashville as the U.S. city with the most economic growth in 2021. The city has recovered economically from the pandemic with good employment growth, low unemployment rates, and strong housing markets.

BBH Nashville is also growing. Since opening the Nashville office in 2015, assets under management have grown substantially and now exceed $1B. The team has also grown from two professionals to five including David Zickler, a new Corporate Advisory & Banking Officer, and Branch Howard, a new Wealth Planner. David is a senior professional focused on providing corporate banking, corporate advisory, and multi-family office support to private business owners and their families in the region, as well as helping BBH Capital Partners identify private equity investment opportunities. Branch is a senior Wealth Planner focused on advising business owners and families on wealth transfer, family business succession, tax and philanthropic planning for clients across the Southeast.

“With the recent growth we have experienced in Nashville, this was the perfect time to add professionals like David and Branch who have deep experience and a relationship-focused-approach to serving private businesses, their owners, and their families,” Travis Dunn, Head of the Nashville office within Private Banking, said. “David and Branch will be instrumental in expanding BBH’s presence in the region across our Corporate Advisory and Banking and Multi-Family Office business lines.”

The team at BBH continues to deepen its ties and commitment to the Nashville community and takes its civic engagement seriously. BBH professionals sit on various boards and are actively engaged in philanthropic activities throughout greater Nashville.

“We are pleased to enter this next chapter of growth for BBH in the Nashville market. While our mission is to be the preeminent trusted advisor to private business owners in this region,” Jeff Meskin, Partner and Head of Private Banking, said, “we are no less committed to being fully engaged with the community in which we live and work.”
