Olympic Steel Names David J. Gea President – Carbon Flat Rolled

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, today announced the promotion of David J. Gea to the role of President – Carbon Flat Rolled.

Mr. Gea will provide strategic leadership for the safe, profitable and sustainable growth of Olympic Steel’s carbon flat rolled business segment, which represents approximately 50% of the Company’s revenue mix. He will report directly to Andrew S. Greiff, President & Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Gea joined Olympic Steel in 2002 and has progressed through roles of increasing commercial and leadership responsibility, including most recently serving as Regional Vice President for the Company’s carbon flat rolled business in the southeastern United States.

Mr. Gea is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he majored in communications and media studies. He completed the Strategic Metals Management Program (SMMP) offered through the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) and Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Gea previously served as a board member for the MSCI’s Northeast Ohio chapter.
