Great American Insurance Group Announces the Promotion of Barrett F. Leahy to President of Mid-Continent Group

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Great American Insurance Group announces the promotion of Barrett (Barry) F. Leahy to President of its subsidiary, Mid-Continent Group, effective immediately.

Mr. Leahy joined Great American in 2008. During his tenure, he has held various positions of increased responsibility, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Underwriting and Marketing for Mid-Continent Group. Mr. Leahy brings over 30 years of experience to the position with expertise in business development and underwriting.

Mr. Leahy graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from National Louis University. In addition, Mr. Leahy holds the following professional designations: Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
