State of Tennessee Expands GRC Footprint With Diligent

Diligent to provide revolutionary audit management software, including real-time reporting, risk assessment and compliance monitoring, to numerous Tennessee state internal audit functions

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diligent, the global leader in SaaS governance, risk and compliance (GRC), today announces that it is expanding its GRC footprint with Tennessee State Government internal audit functions. This makes Tennessee the first U.S. state government to adopt Diligent’s integrated GRC platform, including its Audit Management solution, across the majority of its state internal audit teams.

In 2019, the state of Tennessee launched an initiative to better leverage technology to manage audit workflows with remote audit staff and to ensure compliance across the entire organization. While six of the 21 state agency internal audit departments were already using Diligent solutions, the state was seeking to expand its use of a single platform for audit management, peer reviews and data aggregation across the organization. Diligent’s integrated GRC platform was selected for expansion based on its security profile, including FedRAMP and Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (IL5) Provisional Authorization, as well as its ability to allow multiple departments to collaborate, create efficiencies and drive more strategic audit management.

Diligent is providing Tennessee internal audit functions with a flexible audit management solution that can evolve with departmental needs, driving efficiency and consistency across the entire internal audit workflow, from planning to issue resolution. Real-time dashboards and one-click reports will improve transparency across different audit departments, and Diligent’s powerful analytics will deliver timely and strategic insights into risk.

“We’re thrilled to expand the presence of our GRC software with the state of Tennessee,” said Dan Zitting, Managing Director and CEO of Galvanize (now Diligent). “At the state level, it’s crucial to have executive visibility into audits, peer reviews, and risks across departments, and to map these to Green Book, Yellow Book or Red Book standards. Diligent’s GRC software breaks down silos and unifies departmental data into a single platform, providing an aggregated view of multiple datasets and enabling strategic insight across organizations.”

Diligent’s GRC software for state and federal government has achieved FedRAMP and IL5 Provisional Authorization, and services over 500 government organizations in North America and over 800 globally. Learn more about Diligent’s GRC software for state government here.
