unMEAT Debuts New Plant-Based Product Range at 2021 Plant Based World Conference & Expo

Plant-based disruptor exhibits at conference on December 9 and 10 with Chef Nicole Ponseca

MANILA, Philippines--(BUSINESS WIRE)--unMEAT, the newest 100% plant-based protein brand in the United States, will exhibit its products at the Plant Based World Conference & Expo in New York City from Thursday, December 9 to Friday, December 10. Attendees can experience unMEAT’s range of options including burgers, nuggets, sausages, tuna, luncheon and ground meat. Century Pacific Group is the first company to offer both a frozen and canned range of plant-based product, building on its already versatile product range for consumers.

This year’s expo includes over 200 of the world’s most innovative plant-based brands, coming together to share the latest in plant-based innovations. Additionally, the event will feature educational sessions with leading experts, case studies and a highly qualified audience of retail, foodservice and restaurant buyers.

unMEAT launches from Century Pacific Group, an established global food brand based in the Philippines with a history of successful global products. The new brand is made with plant-based ingredients, with zero cholesterol and trans-fat, while offering a healthy source of protein and fiber. Its ingredients simply include soy protein, vegetable oil, onion, wheat, salt, vinegar, and soy sauce. Century Pacific Group’s legacy is rooted in providing protein-rich brands of packaged food over four decades and brings great expertise to the plant-based market.

Supporting unMEAT on the first day of the conference will be Chef Nicole Ponseca, founder and creative director of New York’s former Maharlika and Jeepney restaurants and Miami’s new Jeepney outpost, and advisor to unMEAT. Chef Ponseca is a Filipino chef and is passionate about leading the brand into the foodservice and retail marketplace in the U.S. As a partner to Century Pacific Food, she also creates signature menu items for restaurants and foodservice professionals and shares her expertise as a progressive and talented chef, supported by her win at the Time Out New York’s Battle of Burger competition.

“I’m thrilled to attend the Plant Based World Conference & Expo alongside the unMEAT team this year and talk about these new products,” says Ponseca. “The product is made with real plant-based ingredients that we’ve all heard of and probably used in our own kitchens. These products can be served in a variety of ways at your kitchen table from a quick on-the-go snack or an elegant meal for your family.”

UnMEAT recently launched in the United States and is currently available at Seafood City Supermarkets on the West Coast including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Unlike other plant-based brands available in the U.S., the company’s philosophy is that eating plant-based shouldn’t cost more than traditional meat and offers accessible pricing for its product range, ensuring its plant-based proteins are similarly priced to traditional meat.

“When we launched unMEAT in the U.S. market earlier this year, we knew that we had to bring our absolute best to an already competitive landscape,” says Gregory Banzon, Chief Operating Officer, Century Pacific Group. “Having someone like Chef Nicole Ponseca on our team differentiates us from other brands because of her unique creativity, business style and her ability to relate to customers who enjoy cooking.”

The company recently attended the Plant Based World Conference & Expo in the United Kingdom, where unMEAT’s products were well-received by attendees. unMEAT’s nuggets were a show-favorite, with guests noting that the product’s taste and texture were very similar to “real” chicken. The expo saw over 2,000 attendees across the food service, retail, distribution and investments sectors including senior decision-makers from companies like Tesco, Deliveroo and Ocado.

unMEAT will be located at booth 534. Visit www.meetunmeat.com to learn more and access imagery via this link.
