Windstream Enterprise Announces Enhancements to its Insights Engine for Managed SD-WAN with Fortinet

New digests within WE Connect to deliver deeper insights and optimize network performance

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Windstream Enterprise (WE), a managed communications service provider, released new enhancements available within its SD-WAN with Fortinet managed service offering via the WE Connect Insights Engine to help customers optimize their networks.

The WE Connect Insight Engine delivers summarized and detailed insights regarding the performance of an organization’s entire network, as well as the individual endpoints. It continuously gathers, evaluates and creates a historic record of data that allows users see trends over time and provides enhanced visibility and reporting capabilities that are unmatched in the industry.

“The WE Connect Insight Engine gives customers a 360-view into their applications, circuits and devices, providing real-time visibility and actionable insights,” said Mike Frane, vice president of product management, Windstream Enterprise. “This Insight Engine highlights underperforming areas within their network to help mitigate network issues that may limit business connectivity and productivity.”

New digests within the WE Connect Insight Engine for Windstream Enterprise’s managed SD-WAN with Fortinet add additional tools to help customers optimize their networks, including:

  • Sites Digest: Provides a site health overview of all locations, calling attention to those that are offline or degraded so action can be taken. Sites Digest shows where bandwidth is spiking and which sites have the highest throughput, latency, jitter or packet loss.
  • Device Digest: Displays the top devices utilizing bandwidth across all locations in a network as a way to identify devices using substantially more bandwidth than others, which can indicate possible misconfigurations or unexpected activity. In particular, Device Digest shows which devices have significantly increased bandwidth utilization over the past 30 days, as well as identifies new devices active on the network over the last seven days.

“We are proud partners of Windstream Enterprise and its WE Connect Insights Engine for SD-WAN with Fortinet,” said John Maddison, CMO and EVP of products, Fortinet. “The Fortinet-based Secure SD-WAN managed solution, when combined with the WE Connect Insight Engine, provides businesses with the tools to better understand how their network is performing and changing over time as well as how bandwidth is being consumed by applications and devices.”

“These enhancements give our customers deeper insights into their network and application performance, resulting in a greater degree of visibility and control into ways to optimize networks and costs and, ultimately, make better business decisions,” said Mike Flannery, chief marketing officer, Windstream Enterprise.

Windstream Enterprise’s WE Connect portal empowers customers over several services provided, including SD-WAN Concierge™, OfficeSuite® UC and UCaaS/CCaaS offerings, Cloud Connect and industry-leading WiFi services.
