Landmark Health Recognized as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare in 2021

Awarded recognition by Modern Healthcare for the 5th consecutive year

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Landmark Health and its affiliated medical groups announced today that they have once again been selected by Modern Healthcare as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare. This is the fifth consecutive year that Landmark has received this prestigious recognition, an award that identifies outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide.

“Receiving this recognition from Modern Healthcare this year is especially meaningful,” states Anna Gill, Landmark Health chief human resources officer. “Our elderly and frail patients are the most at-risk for serious complications related to COVID-19, which added a new level of intensity to the critical work of keeping our patients well at home. On top of that, I am proud of our teams for adapting to many changes in their work environments and interactions with colleagues, demonstrating our culture can adapt well to a virtual experience. I am so humbled by our employees, their dedication and their resiliency.”

As a value-based mobile medical group, Landmark brings care into the homes of seniors with chronic illnesses. By treating patients in their homes, Landmark can get ahead of disease exacerbations to reduce the need to call 911 and be admitted to a hospital. Landmark’s physician-led interdisciplinary teams coordinate care with patients’ existing primary care physicians and specialists, providing additional support for the most complex patients on their panels.

In fact, there is a growing consumer preference for receiving care in the home. Deloitte conducted a 2020 survey and found that 70–80 percent of the participating consumers responded positively towards at-home-care settings across consultation, diagnostics, day-care services and in-patient care.

“Landmark’s care model improves the patient experience by bringing care to them when they need it,” said Michael Le, M.D., Landmark Health co-founder and chief medical officer. “Beyond increasing patient satisfaction, we address provider burnout by keeping patient panels small, allowing for sufficient provider-patient time, and designing care pods for team-based support.”
