Humana’s Preferred Medicare Part D Network to Include More Than 11,000 Retail Pharmacy Locations in 2022

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), a leading health and well-being company, has announced that many of its Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) members will soon have even more low-cost and convenient options with the addition of one of the nation’s largest retail pharmacy companies to its preferred Medicare Part D pharmacy network.

Starting in 2022, Albertsons Companies pharmacies, which includes Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Acme, Shaw’s Tom Thumb, Randall’s, United Supermarkets, Market Street, Haggen and Carrs, will be a part of Humana’s preferred cost-sharing pharmacies.

With the addition of the Albertsons Companies, many of Humana’s PDP members will soon have a total of more than 11,000 preferred cost-sharing pharmacy locations where they can fill many prescription medications at a lower out of pocket cost, including at the following pharmacies that are already a part of Humana’s preferred cost-sharing retail pharmacy network: Costco, HEB, Kroger Health and its family of pharmacies, Publix Super Markets, Sam's Club, Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood Markets.

The new agreement will take effect on January 1, 2022.
