KinderCare Kids Scholarship Fund Applications for 2022-2023 School Year Now Open

Annual scholarship program offers KinderCare alumni the opportunity to pursue a college education

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Since 1969, KinderCare, a nationwide provider of early childhood education and care, has helped children and families build confidence for life by creating warm and nurturing early learning environments where children learn and thrive. To recognize the achievements of its former students and support their continuing education, the company today announced that applications for the annual KinderCare Kids Scholarship Fund are open to its alumni across the country.

First introduced in 2019 in honor of KinderCare’s 50th birthday, the scholarship program underscores the company’s commitment to positively impact the lives of its students, even after they graduate from their programs. Scholarships will be awarded to 10 KinderCare alumni in the amount of up to $5,000 each to be applied toward the 2022-2023 school year. Former recipients are encouraged to re-apply, as the program is renewable.

“At KinderCare, we believe all families deserve access to high-quality early childhood education and care so children get their best start in life,” said Dr. Elanna Yalow, KinderCare’s Chief Academic Officer. “We know that the impact our programs have on the children in our care lasts long after they leave our classrooms. We see our students as part of the KinderCare family for life and look forward to seeing what their future holds and the remarkable accomplishments they will have in their lives and careers.”

Applications will be accepted from November 1, 2021 - March 1, 2022. Eligible applicants must be enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year in an accredited two- or four-year college. Scholarship recipients will be notified in June 2022. To learn more and apply, visit kindercare.com and get answers to frequently asked questions here.
