InfluxData Announces Winners of its Second Annual Community Awards Recognizing Outstanding Contributors

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InfluxData, creator of the leading time series platform InfluxDB, today announced the winners of its second annual InfluxData Community Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions to InfluxData open source projects over the past year. Nominations are made by peers in the InfluxDB community to recognize the accomplishments of developers and contributors from all over the world.

Winners are recognized across five distinct categories:

• InfluxDB for general contribution to InfluxDB itself;
• Telegraf for contributing bug fixes, new features, plugins, documentation or tutorials;
• Flux Language for the design and implementation of Flux, including improvements to the language, extensions, documentation or tutorials;
• Community for providing community support, events, engagement, promotions or other activities to help grow the global community;
• An all-encompassing Founder’s Choice award.

The 2021 InfluxData Community Award winners are:

• The InfluxDB Award: Tristan Su – For more than 30 code contributions to InfluxDB over the past two years, making him one of the most sustained and consistent contributors to InfluxDB.
• The Telegraf Award: Sven Rebhan – For his contributions to Telegraf and leadership as a Telegraf Maintainer, where he has added numerous plugins and provided countless pull request reviews and bug fixes.
• The Flux Language Award: Desmond Hokin – For his integral role on the forums team where he helps manage and regularly answers questions about InfluxDB, Flux and Telegraf. Specifically, he answers more Flux Language questions than anyone in the community forums.
• The Community Award: Jorge de la Cruz – For helping run InfluxData webinars and constantly creating new use cases for InfluxDB, such as how to monitor Office 365 security through a Veeam product and extract that data into InfluxDB to create dashboards.
• The Founder's Choice Award: Jamie Milton – For providing extensive technical support and being a go-to resource on Flux for the InfluxDB community.

There are currently over 500,000 daily active instances of InfluxDB OSS and over 40,000 registered developers using InfluxDB Cloud globally; the community continues to grow rapidly every year.

The Community Award winners were announced by InfluxData Community Manager Michael Hall on the final day of InfluxDays North America on October 27.
